Here are a few tips to help you save money this year on Whistler ski packages:
Buy early
First and foremost, buy your season tickets ahead of time. Buy as early in the fall as possible and you can get a great deal to last you all season long.
Buy online
Online booking companies offer advance purchase deals on one or multiple-day tickets and are usually good at any of the surrounding resorts. But they vary in specification, so do your homework.
Discount ski packages
Many lodgings offer fantastic Whistler ski packages when you book an advance reservation with them. Be sure and ask about their terms. Pay in advance and you save anywhere from 10-30 percent off the regular price of a ticket! Do you have a large party? Try a Whistler chalet or ask about group discounts.
Most resorts offer a pre-paid plan designed to save your family money on multiple days when paid in advance. You should be able buy this directly at the window.
Early and late season breaks
If you're an occasional skier, you always ski cheaper if you head for the slopes either early or late in the season. Every resort's calendar is different. Early season is generally considered opening through late November, and pre-holiday (late November through mid-December).
During the holiday through prime winter season (mid to late February) and into the spring season (February through early April) you can expect to pay full prices.
In the late season (first week of April to closing) prices drop dramatically. So strip off your grubs, kick up your heals and churn some powder at Whistler-Blackcomb this spring.
